Romantic White on White

This is a bouquet I made for a surprise keepsake for a couple my son is working with as he serves a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They are getting married on Friday and baptized on Saturday. We are so excited for them!
The white on white tones accentuate the vintage, romantic look of these handmade flowers. So scrumptious! I wish I was a professional photographer too, but alas, that's still not my forte so you'll have to bear with these pics!
This is the bout I made to go with it. Very chic!

Beach Beauty!

This is great for a summer celebration at the beach! The simple ferns set off this white wedding elegantly don't you think? Most gorgeous beach scene I've come across! (found at floridacoastalweddings.com)

This beach-themed inspiration board is full of fun ideas! The seafoam blue accents are perfect for this theme! Click pic's for close up! (found at snipet&ink.com)

Don't forget!~ If you're going for a certain theme, keep it consistent through your whole celebration!

Another pic of fun ideas! (found at w-weddingflowers.com)

Not to go overboard with this theme, but if you were sparing in your decor you could even carry it into your flowers like the manly (minus the big bow) bout above or the very unique bouquet below! (etsy.com)
Beautiful~ Wouldn't this go great with the top pic? Add in a touch of fern and you've got a match made in heaven! Don't know why, but I really love white on white! (via hilarymiles.com)

A Royal Event

When I was young I was enthralled with the wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. Yes, I was one who wanted to stay up all night just so I could get a glimpse of the fairytale-like event! Now however, I was really only interested in her bouquet, go figure, right?

I really love her choice of bouquet, not huge and extravagant, but simple and refined. It included a tribute to her husband by including Sweet William flowers, which I thought was sweet and also included Hyacinth, Lily-of-the-valley, Ivy, and, as Royal tradition dictates, a sprig of Myrtle from the original bush planted by Queen Victoria on the Isle of Wight in 1845. Very nice!

I love the change in style from the overly huge gown and bouquet of Princess Di's day, to Kate's more simple & refined style of elegance.

In searching for pictures of flowers from the Royal event, I came across their cake, so thought I would include it here. Although a little over-the-top for my taste, it is still exquisite and fit for the Royal celebration! It was covered with over 900 flowers!
