I do all kinds of custom floral design, but what I truly love is to delight brides with unique designs created and customized to
their personalities or theme.
I can work with you long distance too, if you like the look of the silks and handmade's that I have shown here!
Ryan & Natalie ~ June 2014
This bride was such a sweetheart! The flowers came in opposite of what we had ordered (lighter Coral gerbera's & darker roses) & she was so great about it! So we had a mix of dark & light Coral & white daisies & more of a light Salmon color of roses with white spray roses & it turned out beautiful anyway. Coral is such a hard color to get just right, but really, with fresh flowers things just seem to be lovely even if they aren't exact. I wish pictures would do things justice but they just don't. The bouquet was much fuller & vibrant in real life!
A sampling of the bridal party flowers. The mint ribbon was a nice, soft accent for the different hue's of coral! (top right was the Mother's corsage since the tag is hidden)
I wish you both the best life has to offer!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our son's wedding to such a wonderful girl! She chose garden roses & peonies for her flowers & it was so fun to be able to do the flowers for my own son's wedding! Thanks so much to the talented husband/wife team: billibilli photography for the great pics!
Such a beautiful couple, don't you think?
The bridal party flowers
The happy couple with a brother & cousin!
Although the bridal flowers were all silks as the wedding and reception were on different days, I did order fresh flowers in for the reception & made several large bouquets for the pedestals, entry table & some to just add an extra measure of romance around as seen above & below!
Happy 50th Mom & Dad!

Bout & Bouquet love!!! Since she is a true country girl, she wanted something that would fit her personality to the T!~ We decided on pinecone flowers, burlap flowers (not really visible in the pics), bark wrapped wire, woodland berries as well as pink antique roses and some cream delphinium to balance out her colors & theme!
The bout.
The Groom, who happens to be my Nephew, is very loved, otherwise I would never have done handmades at Christmas-time :)
Another angle showing the jeweled clusters made up of some of Jordan's Great-Grandmothers jewelry making this a true Keepsake Bouquet! I love adding little heirloom pieces into my bridal bouquets, it adds so much character and sentimental meaning, something that they can someday show their own granddaughters!

Hmm... not sure why these are the only close ups I ended up with. I seriously need a new camera! or maybe just a real photographer :)

Brett & Marquee~Aug. 2012
This is a mix of silk Hydrangeas, Magnolias and Antique Roses with a few berries mixed in, finished with a Tiffany Blue satin wrap. (Silks have come a long way haven't they?) The are looking really cream in this pic, but the pics above are more true to the color. This bride is so awesome! I first met her after my son was in a car accident in which he rear-ended her. She was so awesome about everything and she ended up being engaged to a guy we know, so then I got to do her flowers & it was so fun getting to know her better! What a great couple they make! Best of everything to you both Brett & Marquee!~
Although she decided on silks for her bridal flowers, I was asked to do some fresh bouquets for the luncheon and reception. These roses were amazing! They came tightly closed but opened beautifully and were huge, with an almost antique rose look, just what I was hoping for! Their colors were Tiffany blue and light grey, so I paired the roses with some lambs ear (which is more grey-green than it looks in the pic) from my garden for a great, look!

Happy
Golden Anniversary to my In-Laws Gary & Linda Andreasen!
Awhile back Mom A. gave me her original wedding bouquet to see if I
could resurrect it. I finally got it done in time for their
anniversary!

Close up of her very Vogue bouquet. This was so fun for me to make! I wrapped the long stems with a pearl necklace of her Grandmothers' and added in a few other sentimental blingy's making for another Keepsake Bouquet!

2012 Homecoming Dance
And with our exchange student & his cute date. Sorry these are the best pictures I ended up with of their flowers.
This is a bout I made just for fun last spring when the peonies were out, so I thought I'd add it in here. I love just playing with flowers from the garden!
Finally got some professional pics. Aren't the great? Check out LizzyBstudios at facebookhttp://www.facebook.com/lizzybstudios She does great work!

My brother Jake and his new bride! What a beautiful pic, huh?

Winter Ball Corsages
These corsages and bout are real, fresh flowers.
North Fremont's DYW~ March 2012
This Masquerade theme was so fun to work with! Black feathers & silver and gold accents really make this corsage! These are all fresh, real flowers as well.I especially love working around a theme! It's so fun to come up with creative ideas to compliment it! Sorry the pictures aren't that great!
Staci & Jared ~ Dec. 2011
I loved working with this sweet bride! It was fun mixing midnight blue berries and mixed silver balls and amaranth among the beautiful winter-white lotus flowers, antique roses and Magnolias! One of my all-time favorite creations!
Maddie and Trevor ~ Dec. 2011
I love this girl! She was one of the Young Women I got to teach when she was younger! & I felt very privileged to be able to do her flowers! She was easy to work with because she had a specific look she wanted so all I had to do was find the fabulous flowers (a mix of red peonies- a couple different varieties to give texture & a rich, natural look) accented with icy branches and frosted baby pinecones! Isn't she so cute?
Just for Fun! ~ Oct. 2011
I was in my flower garden with determination to find something I could make into a bouquet, but since my summer was more crazy than usual I had missed the opportunity when most of the more likely candidates for a bouquet were in bloom :(. So I went out thinking I could put my ever flourishing, abundant Achillea to good use, but it also was just beginning to turn. So, discouraged, I looked around, there had to be something...I was really in the mood to make a fresh bouquet, but all that had potential was my Florist Poppy pods and some faithful Marjoram. Hmmm... "Maybe I could do something fun with that". So I went to work and this is what I came up with, complete with a whimsical bark-covered-wire collar. Totally unconventional, but super fun and perfect for the garden or nature loving, unique, natural bride. I'll call it the rustic garden bouquet. :)
Caitlyn & Nate, Sept, 2011
This early fall bride wanted a formal look for her wedding but also leaned toward a more natural, rustic feel. So marrying these two styles was a bit of a challenge, but I think it turned out great. I made the wrap to resemble the waist of her gorgeous, cream gown and added bronze pins to pull the fall look together! The Father's & Mother's designs!
The rest of the bridal party! Click pics for closeup.
A focal floral for the celebration. This was much more colorful and rich in real life!
Shailee & Aaron August, 2011
This adorable bride wanted purple and sky blue for her colors! Since that color of blue is rare in flowers, especially high quality silks, we opted for purple hydrangeas, white roses and blue beading in an "S" curving cascade! The grooms bout is the top right in the picture below, along with the Mothers',(bottom) Fathers', (middle) and Grandmothers', (top left) I really love how these turned out!

Kelsey & Cameron March, 2011
This darling bride wanted a very vintage look for her flowers and wanted something other than fresh flowers for their two day celebration. After not finding what I thought would fit the bill, we decided to go with hand-made fabric flowers. They were a lot of work between the cutting, stitching, and burning the edges, but oh, so worth it!
I love, love, love this pic! Soooo gorgeous! This one shows the color of the flowers a little more true to life.
Father of the bride gets one last kiss!
Isn't this couple so adorable together?
Hopefully soon I'll have more of the prof. pics to add on here.

More handmade blossoms!
I Love how the white on white shades accentuate the vintage, romantic look! The boutonniere to go with it.
A few projects as of late
For me it is always fun to experiment with different things to see how they hold up! Here's the skinny on Lilacs and Blossoming Cherry blooms!
A close up of the lilac buds picked right before opening. I love the look of lilacs at this stage, they are so vibrant and pretty! (Made June 4th- everything was a little late coming out this year) These stayed spunky in water for a good 2 days before the lilacs started drooping but the cherry blossoms were still going strong after 3 days. The bout I made did not last long out of water. If this is a look you like, it could be pulled off with a little creativity for keeping it fresh, but this combo might better serve as centerpieces and accents florals in your celebration!, maybe going with white flowers accented by this color for your bouquet and bridal party flowers.
This is an arrangement I made for a friends' little girls' room! It was a fun addition to the darling pink corner shelf made from an old door! So cute!
Safari! March, 2011
I was asked to do the flowers for the judges of the Ashton Jr. Miss program this year! I LOVE FLOWERS!!! especially fresh, live ones! So this made me extra excited for Spring to spring! I know you're probably thinking "well it is the last part of March aren't you about there?" Well, it's still snowing here and we normally can't even start planting our gardens 'til after Memorial Day, so, no, we're still WAITING, in our neck of the woods, and man does it get long sometimes, so this was a way fun flower fix for me!
The SAFARI theme was way fun to work around and I really like how fun and different they turned out!
It always amazes me how resilient most fresh flowers are! I really felt like I was man-handling these pretty hard, coming up with a design I liked, but after almost 24 hrs. they're still gorgeous. I think I'm confident I can finish them today instead of waiting 'til tomorrow as I had planned and still have them looking fresh and beautiful!
Becca & Nicholas~ Feb. 2011
These gorgeous silk peonies look nothing short of real flowers!
The Bridal Bouquet made of Peony blossoms, silver spikies (? don't know what they're really called), golden feathers and pearl/glass flowered picks. Surrounded by cream Ostrich feathers. So happy with how it turned out!
I also did the backdrop & florals using all kinds of silver, gold & white flora.
Two beautiful women~ Becca with her mom, Michelle my good friend!
So beautiful!
She chose this one. Probably my fav too! All the guys bouts were the same design only with smaller Rannunculas, etc. than the grooms shown above.
Ashley & Taylor 2010
This Peacock feather themed wedding turned out gorgeous! I love the colors! The feathers were a bit difficult to work with but well worth the effort! The photography is great too, by local photographer Kassie Crapo!
I think his bout ended up being my favorite creation of the whole event, next to the bouquet. Well, maybe it's a tie! I love them both!
I love these pics! So fun!
This is a cool shot of one of the corsages!
Above are pics I took of the flowers before I delivered them. Not quiet as professional as the ones above them :) But photography is not my forte! Click for closeup. Believe it or not these are silk too, as are the ones below!

Wreaths, Centerpieces, etc.
I did these for my friends' daughters' wedding. Above and the 5 pics below. Another fall wedding! Love it! Even on a tight budget, you can get a great look!
My Shabby Chic backdrop dressed up with garland and kissing balls. Click pic for close up.
A close up of the kissing balls I made hanging from the backdrop above.
Another view of the same wedding. I also have a wreath machine and can make wreaths of any size and out of pretty much anything. This is a horrible picture , taken by me of course, with my old crappy camera, not like the beautiful one above it, which I'm not sure who took :), but anyway, this wreath is just made out of burgundy leaved branches, so it accented the wispy outdoorsy feel of this fall wedding.
Another pic of a fall arrangement I put ogether for a presentation I did at Madison High School. What looks like empty spaces in it is actually wheat- again, my bad photography. :) Click for better view.
For a garden party, shabby chic wedding I did.
.
These kissing balls I made for a citrus and daisy themed wedding are made from fresh lemons and limes. She wanted to use tangerines too for the color but they weren't in season so we used orange poppies instead. Yep, you guessed it, they were heavy and really hard to work with. I would suggest using fake if I were to do it again, but they're super expensive and with the amount we planned to use in the decor, that just wasn't possible.
This was the citrus "chandelier" I made to hang from the arbor above the cute couple.
We had oodles of fresh flowers to work with so I put my vases to work.
MONOGRAMS!!! I CAN DO THAT TOO!
The moss covered foam monogram, above, I made for my studio to show my clients a fun decor idea I can make using any font & out of virtually anything to compliment your theme or personality as seen below!
These fun monograms ideas above were found at (starting top, left) Stylemepretty.com, etsy.com, grosgrainbride.blogspot.com and book-Monograms by Susan O'Connor and below at Better Homes & Gardens.com.
Super cool!
