Dressed for Winter

This is the willow arch I made this fall (thanks for the willows Dirk!). Right now it is all dressed up for the winter and adorning my front door. It is about 8 ft. tall and would make a great backdrop or entry decor.

My decor wouldn't be complete without adding a little festiveness to my old bench. Now I'm ready for a little winter fun!

Inviting Jack Frost

If you think you have to wait until spring or summer to have an incredible wedding, think again. Inviting Jack Frost to your celebration can bring a whole new meaning to cool as shown in this inspiration/color board found at "In the details" wedding blog. I think the frosty silver-blue color of the invitation in the top right corner is perfect! -Paired with touches of silver and frosty white would be fabulous for your winter wedding! The trees are also way cool, a refreshing change from just Pine trees, and the cake is sooo cute! You could have so much fun with this theme!

Here are some great wedding favor and centerpiece ideas for your frosty winter theme! (click image for close up)

Festive Fall Colors

This inspiration/color board I found on the weddingdecoratorblog . I love the quaint feel of these pics and the beautiful colors for this fall wedding. The wreaths the girls are holding are absolutely darling, and the color and style of their dresses are so precious too!

Add a little whimsy to your formal fall wedding as seen in the bottom left pic! Ahh...the colors of autumn... but beautiful chocolate brown is not just limited to fall anymore and is being enjoyed all year round! I love it!

Fanciful Flowers

Flowers are so romantic, no wonder they go hand in hand with weddings! (Click pic for close up!) I love the shape of these cool SHEPHERDS HOOKS (bottom left). They work for any season of the year, not just summer. Imagine cool lanterns adorned with evergreens, mistletoe, and deep crimson flowers, or fancy evergreen wreaths for a December wedding, or any time in winter with huge silver bells or frosty snowflakes hung from powder blue ribbons. Anything you want!

The "princess bride"

This was such a fun reception to decorate for. Her colors were black and pink, and I knew she loved roses, but other than that I pretty much had free creative reign as the brides only request was that it have a somewhat formal feel. I leaned toward a flowy, fairytale look and having all sons, I really enjoyed the fluff and frills of decorating for this "princess bride".

These little princesses seemed to like the decor as well.

This shows detail of the back drop a little better. Click picture for close up.

Tapering candlesticks surrounded by rose petals and pink wrapped chocolate hearts adorn the tables.

A little frill over- looks the gift area.

Flowing white chiffon drapes from a large pink heart hanging on a wreath stand to lure guests toward the serving table.
Black paper heart cutouts, rose petals and ribbon mingle above scrapbook pages inviting guests to write their wishes for the newlyweds.

What's your dream?

Below are the backdrops I currently have available! Save by renting a complete package at $295-includes choice of backdrop, cake backdrop, entry decor, garden bench, bistro set, trees, greenery, floor easel, white or black tulle chair bows and choice of misc. decor items. No delivery/set up.
This shabby chic backdrop is adorable and super versatile. If you are looking for simplicity, or maybe a more country look, this is perfect for that but can also look casually elegant or even have a more formal feel. Or it can be just plain cute! It also includes the pedestals pictured below. This rents for $120 undecorated. Backdrop without the fences & pedestals rents for $95.

This backdrop is classic as it has a more formal feel, but in a fresh, modern way. It has three cross-bars. Two that stretch a shiny, sheer crinkly material between them and another about 6" above those to decorate. Right now it is simply showing off a glass garland which accents it nicely without distracting from the bride. (click picture to see detail) This rents for $85 undecorated, but does include the extra white chiffon fabric (shown) if desired.
Above is a sketch of this same backdrop done with a Christmas theme. Using it with just the flowy white chiffon allows room for beautiful, oversized ornaments to hang,. Or for a totally unique, funky look leave out the fabric all together and hang ornaments at different lengths including the whole length down, all the way across~ a fun idea for a December wedding!

Using a little imagination, you can transform any of these backdrops into a personalized, perfect look for you!

Above is a more formal, traditional backdrop. It has a cream background with flowing white material draped from the center and corners that pool elegantly at the floor. This rents for $80 undecorated.

This decorative canopy is perfect for outdoor weddings! Or can be decorated for a unique, beautiful backdrop as in the picture below:

This is similar to the canopy I have. It is 8' square. I like how they have just decorated the skeleton of the canopy here! This can be used as the focal point as it is here or it makes a great shade for the cake or serving tables. This rents for $85.

Rustic arbors make incredible backdrops. I have a willow arch (pictured below, and I would love to make an arbor similar to the one above , I just need a reason!)

The willow arch all decked out for winter. This arch rents for $75.

Citrus and Daisies

Decorating this garden arbor was quite a challenge as it was much bigger and deeper than anticipated. I felt that decorating just the front of it would look sparse, so I decided to string wire across the center of it and made a "chandelier" of lemons, limes, and orange flowers-( since tangerines weren't in season) to hang in the center. Then draped tulle and ribbon to it from all four corners. It turned out beautifully and satisfied the brides' desire for something out of the ordinary. Pictures unfortunately never do things justice especially when taken in the early evening, but the image below shows the detail better.

The bride loved the idea of the kissing balls, so I made some out of lemons, limes, and the orange flowers, with a few daisies at the base of the bow to hang from shepherds hooks throughout.

The cake display turned out absolutely darling. I puddled green organza fabric on top of my bistro table and surrounded it with glass beaded garlands. It's hard to see from the picture, but the base of it seemed kind of bare, but I didn't want to cover up the cute design of the table, so I took a smaller square of organza and tuck it up through the table from underneath so it looked like the fabric on top was flowing through the center of the table.

A brighter picture of the cake table before the darling cake came to be. Below is a close up of the tables' design.

The entrance~ This led up to a small grove of trees which was home to the newlyweds display of pictures and guest book. It then opened up into an incredibly beautiful area, perfect for the reception.

Wire hearts hung from small shepherds hooks adorning the entry walkway.

The decorative canopy was perfect to shade the refreshments and the beautiful bride, at the moment, from the hot sun.
