Antiques & Autumn

Working with the brides desire to incorporate antiques and different sized spheres into her autumn theme, I made large kissing balls to hang from the backdrop on antique-style iron hangers, changing the only backdrop I had at the time into a completely different, more formal look she was hoping for. (Click on pictures for close up view) We also used some of her mothers antiques to complete the theme, as well as balls in different sizes, textures, and colors throughout the decor. Fresh curly willow branches braided into large, full trees for the background and sap buckets overflowing with flowers and curly willow added a flowy feel, finishing the look.

Using an antique vanity instead of an ordinary table to display the cake was delightfully refreshing!

The very beginning

This was the beginnings of a business I didn't even know I wanted to start. A friend of mine, who's son was getting married, was trying to come up with a backdrop and decorating ideas. And since I enjoy being creative, I offered to help. Putting a different twist on some borrowed inspiration, I assembled three old doors, complete with antique hardware.
The bride wanted it to be very simple, airy, and fun! I knew I'd hit it right on the nose when I got rave reviews and 2 offers to rent the backdrop. Realizing how much fun I had had & what a creative fix it was for me, I decided I was on to something!
